Pinching or not
What do you say when to start pinching in what stage of building a Bonsai? Attached some trees own. Around 4 yers old now. I want the trunk to get thicker so I should let the shoots run or is it a good idea to pinch some branches?

Hi all, Leo here from Germany. Just started one year ago with Bonsai and I already fell in love with it. My favorite tree is the maple (autumn colors) but it has to big leaves. Therefore a planted around 100 seeds from a Japanese maple tree with little tiny leaves. I am so exited what comes next and all the possibilities to play around with.
