This is the easiest cast on to do. If other cast on methods are too intimidating, you can always start with this one, then move on to others as you bacome more confident with your knitting
I am so glad to see our community growing, and I can hardly wait to get started, but the adult in me knows that none of us have time to pick up a new skill. So letโs enjoy our Christmas, and be ready on January 2.
Thank you to everyone who watched my introductory video. I am getting excited to start sharing a new skill with you in January. In the meantime, be sure you are getting your large knitting needles and some inexpensive yarn for practice. Be ready, because on January 2, we will jump in with both feet learning how to cast on.
Welcome to our quirky group. We would love for you to introduce yourself. Let us know where you are from, and why you think you canโt learn to knit or what sort of things you like to knit.
I'll go first. I am a retired teacher in south Georgia. I started trying to learn to knit about 30 years ago. I found a wonderful book "I Can't Believe I'm Knitting." I made what is probably the most expensive pot holder ever. After several years and a few warped hats and scarves, I began to get the hang of it. My projects are far from perfect. In fact, I am much better at disguising mistakes than fixing them.
