Iโm 18, just finished school, and got offered a full-time marketing job for โฌ3k/month gross. The upside: Iโd learn a lot of high-value skills like copy, YouTube scripts, AI workflows, creatives, funnels, etc., and probably grow way faster as a marketer. The downside: Itโs a full-time 9-to-5, Iโd only have around โฌ300 left per month after living costs, and obviously Iโd have way less free time to build my own stuff. If your long-term goal was to become a strong marketer / entrepreneur, would you take the job for the experience and skill growth, or protect your time and keep building independently? Iโve always thought that most of the other options, like university, were kind of a scam, and that the best way to learn marketing is literally by getting a job in it, no? Would love some honest opinions.
