The thousands-of-dollars mistake I almost made in my thrift store... Years ago, I owned a 7,000-square-foot thrift store. And it had concrete floors. I decided I wanted those floors to look PRETTY. 😂 So I started looking into having the entire floor professionally coated with epoxy. Then I got the quote. Thousands of dollars. And I had to ask myself a question that every business owner needs to learn to ask: Is this something my business NEEDS... or is this something I WANT? Would prettier floors bring thousands of dollars more into my business? Would my customers buy more because the concrete was shiny? Would this expense actually help the business grow? Or did I just want pretty floors? There's nothing wrong with making your business beautiful. But especially when you're building, you have to learn the difference between an expense and an investment. Before you spend the money, ask: What is this money supposed to do for my business? The Bible says: 📖 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost... Luke 14:28 (KJV) I didn't need pretty epoxy floors. When I sat down, prayed and looked at the math I was like no we'll pass on that. Hindsight that would have been a total waste of money. I'm so glad that I didn't do that. That decision saved me thousands. And thankfully...the plain concrete floors worked just fine. 😂 We don't always NEED what we think we do. Business owners: What's something you almost spent money on before realizing you really didn't need it?

I just finished writing my first book and I am going to self publish it with Amazon KDP. I am going to go through the steps to do this but I wanted to know if you guys would be interested if I recorded the steps as I do it.
