I chose freedom. But before building a real relationship with God, I would have chosen all of the above. Religion definitely makes you see God differently than a real relationship with Him. I love how personal and freeing God is!

I never believed that a relationship with God was a special gift for a select few—simply because I didn't initially know you could even have a personal relationship with Him. I only knew that was possible once He revealed Himself to me and showed me. Now that I am aware a relationship with God is possible and for everyone, I am very surprised how many people who attend church regularly are so unfamilair with this concept.

@Jordan Roman Honestly, that's probably where most of us land! It really does depend on the day! For the most part, I love talking to Him, giving Him updates, and looking forward to His response. But then I have days where I just don't want to be bothered—mostly because I get impatient with what I perceive is a slow process to what I'm looking forward to from Him. It’s like a group chat where you’re super active one day and then completely disappear the next. The great thing is that, unlike us, God isn't insulted when we ghost Him. When we want to get back into the conversation and decide to text Him again, He doesn't leave us on read; He happily picks right back up where we left off when we pop back in from ghost mode! 👻

@Kayla Roman Don't let the fact that you may not hear from God yet discourage you. Learning to Hear from Him takes time, patience, practice, and consistency. Keep taking baby steps, keep reaching out to Him for advice. Don't give up!
