3 contributions to Starting from zero
You're allowed to be bad at doing something!
Being bad is not a problem—it’s a requirement. You cannot become good at something you refuse to be bad at first. Starting from zero means embracing imperfect output. Questions: • What are you avoiding because you might not be good at it? • What would happen if you allowed yourself to be a beginner? Action: Do one imperfect attempt today—no fixing, no polishing.

I’m bad at a lot of things: housework, chit chat, remembering what I went to the shop for 😸
Build the habit before the results.
Results come later—habits come first. Your job in the beginning is simply to show up and build the muscle. Regular, repetitive, consistent work leads to reward. Which habit are you focusing on building this month?

@Paul Mullon it’s a good feature, but all platforms will reduce the reach of anything not posted directly in app, even if you cross post from insta to fb which are both meta owned the platform you post from eg instagram will get better reach than the ā€œsharedā€ post that goes up on the other. It’s just something to keep in mind if reach is important to your marketing plan

Yeah and they don’t reduce reach on posts from business accounts either to push you to pay for advertising šŸ™„ AI results can only tell you what they admit to publicly, I’ve been using social media for business since it’s invention I’ve networked with 1,000’s of small businesses using social media as a way to advertise and every one of us has seen it first hand and seen the reach of businesses drop further and further year on year, now meta are going to force anybody who wants to share links in posts to pay for verified which is a direct attack on small business accounts. But AI won’t give you that information
Embrace Being a Beginner
There is zero pressure when you're at zero. This is the stage where experimentation is allowed—and expected. Starting something new is scary. You don't have the skills. You don't know what to do. And that is so liberating! Recognise that you cannot be expected to know anything about it, as you have just started. Open yourself up to new opportunities by accepting that you are new at whatever it is you are embarking on. What ā€œbeginner mindsetā€ lesson are you embracing this week?

Great message, everyone starts somewhere and nobody is born with skills, we have to learn step by step. I also think it’s important to learn to walk before you try to run, eg don’t try to start a business as a pottery teacher if you’ve never used a wheel or kiln. Knowing our own limitations, accepting them and taking the time to learn is so important in making sure that we don’t create that pressure on ourselves ā¤ļø
