Life is as hard as you make it...
Well, actually, it's harder when you're in a chair. Everything take longer, takes more energy, more challenging, you're more likely to fall over (often), and some things you just plain can't do... So, there you are, that's about my negative thoughts, as big as I could be after learning for the last 37years in a chair. I laugh, cos really, although everything is harder, it's also better. I'm a better person than I was when I broke my back at 16. I'm only better due to needing to be, having to be, and wanting to be. If you're new to being in a chair, this might seem a little harsh. If you've been in a chair for several years, then I guess this all makes sense to you. You chose the life you want. As my old aunty used to say "Grab life by the throat, and throttle the life out of it." Ha ha, really, she did say that.

I'm a guy in a chair. T12 paraplegic since I was 16, in 1990. I've done a few wheelchair races, marathons and ultra-marathons (& in my squirrel suit)
