Hi all - I’m currently in Ireland doing the 4th annual International Songwriting Retreat at IIMS - I just wanted to let you know that I’ve put 4 meetups in the calendar. A general coffee hour first to meet and greet, followed by a songwriting critique, a production critique, and a Q&A session. Hoping you all can mark this in your own calendars and join when they happen! More modules will be loading in this community after I return to Canada on the 19th, as well as future meetups. Rob.

Don’t worry - I found it!
Welcome to The Hitmakers Circle!
Welcome to The Hitmakers Circle! I'm so glad you're here. Whether you're writing your very first song or you've been making music for years, you've joined a community of people who share one common goal: writing better songs and growing together as artists, songwriters, and producers. Over the coming weeks and months, I'll be adding new courses, live Q&A sessions, songwriting challenges, production breakdowns, industry insights, and behind-the-scenes looks at my own writing process. My goal is to share the techniques, lessons, successes, and failures I've experienced during more than 30 years in the music industry. This isn't just a place to watch videos. It's a place to ask questions, share your music, receive constructive feedback, collaborate with other members, and continue growing as a songwriter. Let's get to know each other! Please introduce yourself by telling us: - Your name and where you're from - What instruments you play (if any) - Your favourite style of music - How long you've been writing songs - One songwriting goal you'd love to achieve this year - If you could co-write with any artist or songwriter, who would it be? Don't worry if you're just getting started. Every professional songwriter was once a beginner, and everyone here is at a different stage of their journey. I encourage you to jump into the conversations, support one another, and never be afraid to ask questions. Some of the best lessons come from simply being part of the discussion. Thanks for being here. I can't wait to hear your music. Rob

- Hi! I’m Léanie (pronounced Layer-nee) a singer-songwriter from the Kent/Sussex/Surrey border of the UK. I’ve recently been signed to a publisher at the grand age of 55! - I play piano, acoustic guitar, tenor guitar and baritone ukulele and I use Logic at my home studio but generally finish my tracks off with the help of a producer. - I’m into indie but my tastes are eclectic. I’m a huge RIDE and PJ Harvey fan but I adore Bowie, Elton John and Joan Armatrading. - I started playing piano at 7 and writing songs in my early teens. My first album wasn’t released until 2005 on a small label. Since then I’ve been an independent artist and released 4 original albums in total. Three as Léanie Kaleido and one with my indie duo project Karamelien. - My goal this year is to simply get my gigging confidence back, get out there and gig again. And to improve my Logic skills! - I’m actually not great at co-writing. I enjoy writing on my own. But… if I could co-write with anyone I would bring Bowie back to life and MAKE him write a song with me. Haha. - My most recent success was winning the Talent is Timeless songwriting competition with my track Firefly and will be performing it live at Abbey Road Studios in October, which I’m absolutely bricking it about!
