Which one pulls you IN? Nobody picks the first one. And technically, the first one is the better sign. It tells you exactly what it is, even the price. It's honest, it's clear... there's nothing wrong with it. It's 100% rational. The second one, though... That one is pure emotion. It doesn't pitch you anything. It asks you something first, and you can't help but answer it in your own head. ...how long HAS it been? Sign one is about him. His flowers, his price. Him, him, him. Sign two is about YOU. "Me, me, me." That's the whole thing right there, dude. Your offer may be yours... but their attention is about them. >> Bad outreach is all about you. Good outreach is all about them. And your cold DM is sign one. "I help dentists get more patients with SEO." mmkay... That's your flowers and your price, shouted at a guy doing 60. Now here's the part everybody skips. The fix is not waving sign two in front of EVERY person. Not everyone has a mom. Or likes theirs. It's going and finding the guy who is ALREADY carrying the problem. Not the dentist shopping for SEO today, because he doesn't exist. The one with two chairs sitting empty every Thursday and a hygienist to pay on Friday. You don't create that problem. You pick people who already have it. Right person + right problem. Then you open with something they answer in their own head. Stranger → conversation Conversation → agreed problem Agreed problem → THEN you offer That's the missing step: diagnose first. That's it. Cold DM works fine.
