Steiner's 6 Exercises - A 5 Day Journey/Challenge/Intro/Adventure
As someone who’s put themselves forward to teach Steiner’s 6 Fundamental Exercises (and other spiritual stuff) over the years, you’d think I would do them. And I do. Sometimes. And then life happens - either in my mind or in reality - and I fall off the horse (and land on a rodeo bull). I then end up being a bloke *thinking about* regularly practising Rudolf Steiner's Six Fundamental Exercises (while riding a bull) instead of ACTUALLY doing them. Can you relate or are you a very annoying perfect meditator? (If you are, do the right thing help the rest of us will ya??!!). Anyway, rather than waiting until I'm "back on top of everything" (which, like some self-created, well meant but illusory mental-state, never seems to occur for me), I've decided to begin again. But this time, if you’re up for it, I'd really like some company. So, over the course of five consecutive days (starting Sunday 5th July - ending Thurs 9th) we’ll explore these simple (and sometimes boring-yet-profound) exercises together. Not as perfect Steiner people with flowing garments and serious faces. Not as super-arch-angels. Just as ordinary, everyday spiritual losers (forgive me!) attempting to remember that we're actually capable of paying attention for more than 3 consecutive seconds (potentially, at least). In the past, I have actually had times where I’ve practiced these exercises “religiously” and they really did help me to: - Focus and have more sway over what I was thinking - Feel more emotionally balanced - Strengthen my will - See more of the good in every situation and person - Be more open-minded and less judgemental  …and that’s just the earth-bound effects. They are crucial to a healthy soul life, especially if/when we begin to have spiritual experiences which can really throw us off course. Who’s in? It’s free but it will (full disclosure) eventually be a (cheap) paid thing. We start this Sunday 5th July at 5pm (London time) Here's the link to join https://www.skool.com/live/pqrS4ws68dd

I'm in. Is this every Sunday for 5 Sundays in a row? Or is it Sunday, Monday, Tues, etc .. 5 consecutive days?
God or Gods?
Does anyone know how to read the plural of "Gods" Steiner often uses in his lectures? Does he mean higher spiritual beings or does he literally mean "Gods", which sounds polytheistic? How does that interface with the monotheism of Christianity (One God), "the Father", Christ united with the Father, etc?

@John Rollinson Brilliant ! Thank you! I will pause for a bit before my next question regarding the Sophianic streams of anthroposophy and The Mother, Daughter and Holy Soul. 😀

@Mick Young Holy smokes! re the demon part 😜 so then do you think Steiner uses Gods in plural to refer to spiritual influences of higher magnitude without specifying, because there can be multiple influences involved?
Anthro hubs in Europe
Hello friends, I am planning to travel this summer and would love to visit places that have a strong anthroposophic presence in Europe (other that Dornach where I will be end of September). I so crave resonant community and lit up conversations in person! If you know of such areas, please chime in. Of course, I could look up Waldorf schools or Camphill initiatives but am looking for social/ cultural hubs as well. The only place I found other than Dornach is Centro Lanzarote (they have accommodation, organic farm on site, eurythmy classes, music evenings, etc) but it is low season for them in the summer and not much events. Countryside preferred to cities. Thank you in advance.

@Mick Young Is this what you meant, but this one is mostly North America based, (https://www.thechristiancommunity.org/) or were you referring to something else... ?
Returning, losing my phone, gaining my sanity
Dear friends, It's been a while! I've just got back from visiting my family and friends in my homeland (in Western Victoria, Australia) and I'm looking forward to re-enlivening this group. I actually left my mobile phone on the plane from London to Singapore...so I spent several weeks phone free. A welcome break from technology! In the coming weeks I'll be offering various options for trainings and courses to help apply spiritual science to our daily lives. Whether that be: - knowing where to start with Steiner's work (it can be overwhelming) - strengthening or beginning your spiritual practice (starting is the hardest part) - deepening your understanding of anthroposophy - applying this understanding every day life Warm wishes Mick PS. Please let me know in the comments below what area of spirituality and anthroposophy you're most interested in,. Thank you!
