Returning, losing my phone, gaining my sanity
Dear friends, It's been a while! I've just got back from visiting my family and friends in my homeland (in Western Victoria, Australia) and I'm looking forward to re-enlivening this group. I actually left my mobile phone on the plane from London to Singapore...so I spent several weeks phone free. A welcome break from technology! In the coming weeks I'll be offering various options for trainings and courses to help apply spiritual science to our daily lives. Whether that be: - knowing where to start with Steiner's work (it can be overwhelming) - strengthening or beginning your spiritual practice (starting is the hardest part) - deepening your understanding of anthroposophy - applying this understanding every day life Warm wishes Mick PS. Please let me know in the comments below what area of spirituality and anthroposophy you're most interested in,. Thank you!

Working with higher beings consciously to confront and overcome evil.

The Word Itself
Let the Word itself find its way alone, Drift on wings of air, unconfined, Through meadow sweet and forest stone, A spirit breath on the seeking mind. No heavy hand can force its flight, No cage of thought its essence hold, It comes as water, pure and bright, To quench the thirst of hearts grown cold. Poem by Arvia MacKaye Ege (1902–1986), an American anthroposophist, artist, and poet
Thank you! - Today's "Coffee" & Chat was great
Thank you to everyone who joined for the coffee and chat today (although I think I was the only one drinking coffee?!). We're going to do it again at the same time next Friday 27th Feb at 4pm London, 11am EST (US). We talked about spiritual initiation in the past and today, kundalini experiences, new age spirituality, science and much else. If you were there, please feel free to post something about it to let others know your experience. Warm wishes Mick

I loved hearing a bit about each one present and introductions are good AND I hope we do not stay in the same format of talking stick introductions each time and can get to know each other more intimately by conversing organically about topics, themes, challenges, what is alive in each one at that particular moment... Because 1. introductions alone can often take up the entire time available 2. It can feel a bit stiff as a default way of starting a conversation, whereas a specific question prompt can be very fruitful in what it brigs up for others while still being personal. I am very grateful for a space where we can test out what this anthroposophic stream is like in encounter and conversation :) And feel solidarity and social bonding are essential in these challenging times. None of us wants to carry a torch alone or ponder in solitary fashion as truth is born in a relational context too. So I hope my suggestions are seen as most well intentioned and constructive. 💫💜
What we need in dark times...
There are such dire and horrific things coming to light in the world at the moment. Many of the things contained in the Epstein files have been known in "conspiracy" circles for a long time. But seeing it out in the wider public like this is both vindicating and terrifying. It's not just hurt people hurting people. It's far beyond that. It's people who actually get pleasure from causing pain which Rudolf Steiner describes as the beginning of black magic. And we can see how all of this is tied into the way the world is run. If we're not careful, these things can completely overwhelm us. It occurs to me that we need an extremely robust spirituality that can hold it's own against scientism (the belief that science has all the answers) and the materialistic world-view (that matter is all there is). But more than that, we need a robust spirituality that can withstand actual evil. This robust spirituality must support individuals to develop a strong moral fibre from within (not from outside rules). But it also needs to be able to meet and satisfy human beings intellectually. The time of the New Age gurus endlessly repeating phrases like "we're all one", "we're all love" and "nothing is real except love" has come to an end. This just doesn't cut it anymore. On one level, we are all one. And yes, we are love. But the individuality matters too. We cannot defeat the evil that is coming to light with platitudes and feel-good songsters singing "imagine all the people" (as much as I love John Lennon). We need a new kind of inner strength, even to just hear about what is happening. Good will win, but it's not a forgone conclusion. It's up to us. Wishing you much strength, courage and love in these times.

Indeed, radical non-avoidance is key and overcoming all types of bypass temptations... Thank you for addressing the "oneness" mumbo jumbo. Especially when it is a cop-out mechanism rather than the much needed embodiment of personal moral responsibility. One of the mysteries Steiner spoke of and that we are moving through is the mystery of evil... We must call upon the guidance of the higher principalities (higher spiritual hierarchies) to withstand the face off. Across the threshold, I've been shown Archangel Michael is a true guardian in the dispensation of justice and truth. And connecting with Christ in the etheric, bringing the Christ impulse within our hearts are most essential today.
