Anthropic Support. Possibly the worst in the world ever?
I’m curious whether anyone else is experiencing anything like this with Anthropic support, because I’ve now managed to encounter it from both sides: personal Max customer and Enterprise owner/admin. On our Enterprise account, a user provisioned through Microsoft Entra/SCIM changed her name. That appears to have broken the association between her provisioned identity and her existing Claude account. After several days going around in circles with Anthropic’s Fin support bot, I raised support cases. Nearly three weeks later, we’ve had no human response — I’ve checked that I properly configured Enterprise admin/owner contacts they are correct. Separately, my personal Claude Max 5x account has now developed an authentication problem. I can still access the existing paid account from my iPhone and iPad, but logging in from Windows with the same verified Apple private-relay email address sends me to “Create account” instead of my existing account. I have exhausted all the typical browser caching and Apple settings options. I therefore can’t use Claude properly on Windows/Claude Code, nor can I manage or cancel the subscription through the iOS app because it was purchased outside Apple’s billing system. I’ve had to basically instruct my bank to block the next subscription payment and now feel like my time working with Anthropic is basically done. Again: support request raised, and so far no human response. I even tried alternative published contact routes, including safety/privacy-related channels where appropriate, only to have cases closed without anyone actually engaging with the underlying access/support problem. So this isn’t really a complaint about an AI chatbot failing to solve an unusual technical problem. It’s the apparent absence of a reliable escalation path from the chatbot to an actual human being — even for an Enterprise customer. Has anyone else experienced this with Anthropic? More importantly: does anyone know a genuine route to a human at Anthropic who can deal with account/Enterprise support issues, rather than sending me back into the Fin support loop?

@Matthew Mazur Well that’s very kind of you, thankyou Matthew. My personal problem is my priority, nothing yet has come through. My business one is more a symptom of their model. We only have 20 seats on enterprise so don’t qualify for a support contact with a pulse. This cannot be a rare outlier though. I’ve intentionally kept them apart but did say something along the lines of “I don’t hold my breath for a response on my personal issue, as I have an Enterprise self service one (less than 50 seats, which has gone unanswered for nearly three weeks, we can get to that if anyone actually responds”. So they are not connected, but I sort of knew where this was going. It’s really kind of you to have a go on my behalf, but I fear nothing will happen. My banks put a block on my personal payment. Why? Because the only two routes I have to Claude are via iOS which cannot get me to a page where I can manage my account…. 🤯

To Codex or "Sorry our systems are thinking....."
Well. What can I say about the Codex experience since Friday. Big, hot, mess? Yes. I think that's fair. Seems to have settled down now. I think the changes are really positive, but heaven help you if you had a swathe of open PRs on GitHub, working off their now legacy Codex ephemeral/sandbox model. It's taken me two days of "Our system is thinking, please use a rubbish model if you think it stands a cat in hells chance of actually working (good luck)" and "Connection has timed out, please dont try again" to actually get things back in order. Normal service has now hopefully resumed.... I guess two full resets is something.... 🤞 🙏 #codex #hopeforthebest #itsallinthenameofprogress #aiwilldestroyusallsoon_or_not

I think I cooked with this one...
Finally giving my view on JEV in my classic history and fundamentals fashion but... This one is a little different. It's my first time making a fully animated, pixel art video, and I'd honestly love to know what you think of the style. Should I make more like this? I made an ICM that fully automates most of the process i was able to get this video built in about three or four hours. Talk about a fun animation style right? Might redo a bunch of the videos in the classroom with this.

I think it appeals to the tech audience, because pixel games right? Maybe I’m just old…. It is also pretty easy to visually connect with too. So I think it’s at least initially, “on pixel”, pretty effective
We are all AI Pigeons
From a global perspective, we are all AI reward-chasing pigeons...Scurrying around with our own ideas of how to harness the power of LLMs. Everyone thinks their approach, however poorly constructed, is right. Why? It's because the reward for getting a probabilistic, nondeterministic tool to regularly output the winning answers (pigeon food) is hard but the goal posts are always moving (one day it's prompt engineering, the next its skill building, to AI agents building, to Multi-Agent builds and Agentic Workflows, all the while there are Ralph loops forgotten and recycled as just loops, now there is SDD and may ICM save us all) meanwhile Model releases change how it all works from day to day and harnesses of all flavors are sprinkled throughout (OpenClaw/Hermes/OpenWorker/Grokbot/etc) most people are left guessing, and some guessers are better than others no matter how departed from reality. This made me reflect on the Pigeon experiment I remembered learning about...in 1948, renowned psychologist B.F. Skinner published a groundbreaking study titled "'Superstition' in the pigeon" in the Journal of Experimental Psychology. The study demonstrated how animals develop accidental, repetitive "rituals" when rewards are delivered completely independent of their behavior. Will we escape? Or are we doomed?

But the real question is.... "how much do you like pigeon feed?" :D
The Clief Notes AI is live 📣
It’s live. Starting today, everyone in Clief Notes has access to the new Clief Notes AI. The easiest way to use it? Don’t overthink it. Ask it the question you would normally ask me. “Where should I start?” “What should I focus on next?” “Where did you talk about [topic]?” It’ll use what’s already inside Clief Notes to help answer you and point you toward the right lesson or resource when there’s something worth going deeper on. The goal isn’t to give you another AI tool to play with. It’s to make everything already inside this community easier to actually use. If you want Access to it Comment "READY" and we'll send you access to it!
