Sad News about the Resin Shop
Unfortunately I don't have the best news to share today, but with the new duties and taxes that have been introduced, plus the cost of shipping, it is not viable for us to continue going with our resin shop. The cost per kilo to ship and the cost of duties makes the fees more expensive than the product. If you can find your own domestic suppliers of MasterCast 121 resin and Art Spectrum inks, this will be the most economical route I am so sorry about this!
First Try
I finally got a chance to give the process a go. Wasn’t happy with my color on first layer so changed it up on the other two. I really didn’t need a 3rd wave on this small piece but gave me practice, and actually it came out the best. I forgot to get a pic of my 2nd wave🤦🏻‍♀️. I really wish I could get the same resin and pigment to get a better comparison. Hopefully shipping to the US will resume soon! Thanks Lauren for the class and looking forward to more.

That third wave is wonderful! And even the under waves, I can really see the makings of great definition. It looks like we have actually got some disappointing news regarding the US shipping, we thought we would be able to ship but the duties plus the shipping is going to be too expensive for us to export them out of Australia. I am so sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
I keep trying
This work definitely requires patience and lots of practice. These were some other tests I did, and I ran into these issues.

Yes it can be very testing resin Are you using mango wood? Often a more porous wood will give you more bubbles. Not to worry though, sand them down and they will disappear on your second wave If you want to remove the issue, you can swap to a denser wood like an acacia works really well and is widely available

@Mariana Fig Let me know how you go:)
thank you!!
I loved your course. Thank you so much for presenting it to us. I tried the first layer this morning and I have a couple questions. The white waves retracted as it dried and why are there are so few bubbles?🤔
thank you!!

@Kathy McMaster Thanks for the photos Kathy, and so great to hear that you are loving the course! What brand of resin are you using? It might be that it is too thin

Hey Tammy and Kim! It isn't available in this course, I am so sorry if there was a miscommunication on my instagram. Was this on a post that I made? I'll just want to delete it if so
