DEVOTIONAL WELLNESS: Year Long Immersion
Have you ever considered that nourishment comes not only through the mouth, but through the eyes, the senses, and the soul? There even is a kind of nourishment we receive through our attention. Sunlight moving through a petal. Pink so vivid we pause to take it in. A moment of beauty that asks nothing of us except that we receive it. In this hibiscus, I see an invitation: light becoming visible through living form. A reminder to notice the radiance already meeting us in ordinary life. We might call this resonance—the way something in the living world seems to answer something within us. A felt invitation to wonder, to presence, to communion. What happens when we approach our daily nourishment with this same attentiveness? When preparing a meal becomes an act of devotion, receiving becomes a practice, and our choices become expressions of compassion for the living earth? Within MONASTICA, I’m offering a Devotional Wellness: Biodynamic & Spiritual Nutrition Series. This series invites us to explore these questions and cultivate a more conscious, prayerful relationship with nourishment. I warmly invite you to upgrade your membership ($11/month) to access this series in our classroom over the next year. The first couple lessons will be available to all members. In addition, this upgrade allows you to participate in our seasonal cleanses. Includes Light Body Living Guidebooks, worksheets, and more. This series is designed in mind for those committed to the Way as a lifestyle, or anyone wanting to participate more deeply in body temple care. Come with curiosity. Begin where you are. Let’s deepen into the beauty that a nourish you each day? In this series we’ll explore 12 foundational modules to biodynamic & spiritual nutrition: Beginning the Day with Nourishment Morning routines, breakfast, energy, and sustainable eating rhythms. The Living Plate The biodynamic nutrition plan, vegetables, fruit, fiber, and whole-food foundations. Nutritional Essentials Carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins, minerals, and planning nutritionally complete vegan meals.

WOMEN AT THE WELL
A Monthly Essene Sisterhood Gathering. Women at the Well is a virtual, monthly gathering for women who feel called to draw more deeply from the living waters of the Essene way—its contemplative wisdom, devotion to simplicity, reverence for the natural world, inner purification, and remembrance of the Divine within. Together, Essene sisters Lauren and Leah invite you into a space to step away from the noise, declutter the mind, and return to the wisdom of the soul. The Well has long been a place of encounter, a place where we come empty and leave carrying something living. This is a place to receive so that we may give. A place to replenish what has been poured out. A place to fill the cup—the holy vessel—so that we may return to our lives, families, communities, and service with greater presence and radiance. Each month, we will gather around a different theme designed to deepen our exploration and embodiment of Essene spirituality and the Divine Feminine, creating space for conversation, shared wisdom, ritual, and the mystery of what arises when women gather at the Well together. Our First Gathering is October 10th at 10:00 AM Central Gatherings will be held on zoom. Recordings will be available temporarily through MONASTICA, allowing us to cultivate a more intimate container. Portions of our personal sharing and sacred conversation will remain offline and unrecorded to honor the privacy of the circle. As this sisterhood grows, we hope future gatherings become increasingly collaborative—a place where many voices, gifts, experiences, and expressions of the Essene way can be brought to the Well. You do not need to arrive with answers. Come with your questions. Come with your longing. Come with an empty cup. We invite you to meet us at the Well. Free to attend and revisit. @Jenn Jerome Hello dear one. I very much honor your commitment to unifying the field!! Here’s a beautiful quote that might bring some further understanding of the intentions in gathering. Not to sway you one way or the other, but to assure you and anyone else that THIS gathering is not about exclusion in any way. It’s a necessary and powerful stepping point along the healing journey for many women. Where I personally like to come from when I think of gathering as women is “THIS, AND…”. Here’s the quote: “As women connect around our circular earth, we are creating networks--circles within a larger circle, all part of this spiraling galaxy and an expanding field of creative form and force. We carry within us a spark of light initiated with the big bang—that same creative power that birthed the universe. It is time to manifest feminine potential and restore right balance and healing as obviously the force is with us. The emerging reality would be a gender-balanced world, a healthier world for nature and all species—for we are all related.” Sharon G. Mijares We learn how to gather as equals anytime we are in Circle. We gather when we need to be held and supported. We learn how to feel safe in sisterhood, so we can feel safe with the all. My intention overall here is to support women around areas that need healing and to deepen their connection to God. Many women have been hurt and abused by men and even other women. This is a space for us to restore our capacity for love, righteous power, wisdom, our voice, and sisterhood (many women carry sister wounds that can only be healed in safe containers with one another like this). If we come to a co-ed container with a healed inner masculine and feminine, there will be much less potential for spiritual abuse, co-dependency, and manipulation which is very problematic in spiritual spaces. I’ve experienced it myself and there are many books written about it. I’ve been running women’s circles for many years and have seen the incredible personal growth that becomes the fruit of women’s ministry. All to make a better world. To prepare us to be in more harmonious relationships to one another and all of creation.
LIVING FLAME OF LOVE
Join me for a contemplative practice of creative spiritual direction: Sisters, you are invited to receive Living Flame of Love by Saint John of the Cross as an opening into prayer, holy listening, and creative expression. Begin by reading the words in the accompanying image slowly. Allow a little silence between the lines. Read them again, noticing what draws your attention—a word, a phrase, an image, or a feeling stirring within you. What happens in your heart as you receive these words? Where do you sense warmth, tenderness, longing, or an opening? What might be asking for your attention? Gather a blank piece of paper and whatever materials invite you: watercolors, colored pencils, scraps for collage, or clay to shape with your hands. Let the word or feeling that stays with you become your starting place. Follow a color, a gesture, a texture, a form. Allow your creating to become a way of listening. There is no need to arrive at an answer or make something beautiful. Perhaps clarity will emerge. Perhaps a question will deepen. Perhaps you will simply spend time with what is present. When your hands come to rest, sit quietly with what you have made. What do I notice now? What has this process helped me express or receive? How might I carry this living flame of love into my ordinary life? If you feel called, share an image of your creation in our group, alongside the word or phrase that accompanied you and a few words about your experience. You are also welcome to keep your prayer private. As sisters, we receive one another’s offerings with holy listening. We can witness, express gratitude, and let each woman give meaning to her own creation. May this be a small sanctuary of making—where our hands give expression to what is awakening in the heart.

LIVING FLAME OF LOVE
RUACH: INSPIRATION IS LIFE
What breathes life into you? In Hebrew, ruach carries the meanings of wind, breath, and spirit. The English word inspiration comes from the Latin “to breathe into.” Held together, these words offer a contemplation: to be inspired is to receive what helps us come ALIVE. Hebrew gematria offers a deeper mystical connection for us to sit with. Ruach carries the value 214. Or, the word for light, carries a value of 207. The space between spirit and light is 7, a number associated with the sacred rhythm of creation. We might contemplate this relationship as light finding movement through spirit: what is received inwardly taking expression in the living world. The light we receive becomes the life we share. Sometimes inspiration arrives through a stirring of creativity. Sometimes through the wind in the trees, a sacred conversation, or the quiet return to prayer. Here, in MONASTICA, we invite room to notice these movements—to listen for what nourishes our capacity to love, to create, and to participate more fully in life. How might inspiration become an embodied response: a word of kindness? a moment of courage? a work of art? a faithful act of care? Pause. Notice your breath. What is breathing life into you? How might you carry that life into the world? Please share, if you feel inspired😊 📸A photo from Women at the Well…our water ritual inspired life to come into areas of my body which carry tension, fear, and mis-trust. My prayer is to trust more deeply with each life-giving breath. To receive the waters of healing through each breath as a baptismal sacrament. To be made anew from the deep well of knowing…God is here for me too.
