Being open for signs.
Yesterday I assisted a behavioural euthanasia for a dog I’ve been working with for years. I asked Buddy to send me a sign, and I asked for a feather. I was clear that it was not to be from a magpie because I already have a family of magpies who visit me every day. They usually keep other birds away. Today, while mowing the lawn, I found a single white feather right in front of me. It was from a corella. I have never seen a corella in my back garden before. To me, that felt like Buddy reaching out. I have placed the feather by my bedside, I like to think of it as Buddy’s way of letting me know he is ok. Our last photo together.
