Tent Setup
This is my tent setup. 6.5' x 6.5' tent. It's tight but packs easy and I can do almost 400 drinks in 6 hours with a second table and another person.

By myself I can do about 200 drinks in the same time.
Signs
No matter how many signs you have or what size they are, people will always ask if you take cash or card even if it is clearly stated with the credit card logos themselves. Get used to it!
New (to us) hot dog cart
Here's a few pictures of our new addition to our vending family. We already have "All Shook Up - Lemon Shake Ups"

How recent is the picture with the long trailer? You have Member's Mark cases of deli cups. I haven't seen them on the Sam's website for about a year now
Sales Tax
if you charge a flat rate (tax included) lets say a dog for $6.00. What was the multiplier so you arent paying tax on your tax.

If you're using Square it will tell you on the sales summary tab. Not sure about other platforms.

@Pete B true. That would have to be broken out as a service or labor charge as most, but not all, labor is exempt from tax. I would research the legality of charging a fee for using a credit card versus a debit card.
The excitement cluttered my thinking!
As with all of us, we're so excited to venture out and start our own small business. We read all of the tips and tricks, To do's and Not to do's, and the steps to take to make it happen. So here I am, I am the ding bat who was super antsy pantsy to get started...registered the business name, did the tax thing with the state, made up the logo and got business cards made (super cute) scheduled my manager certification exam and the applied for financing. I should have known better. My application was denied. SO, now I have to wait til tax time to purchase a hot dog cart. Then I started thinking, hey, I can sell lemonade and/or dirty sodas in the mean time BUT, now my business name logo and marketing materials do not reflect these beverages alone. (Palm smacking the forehead right now). Sooooooo, here's where I am reaching out to you all to ask you what would you do? Would you only change the business name and take a loss on the marketing materials and money to make the change or would you create another business, but eventually will be selling the hot dogs and beverages together. I appreciate all suggestions 🙂 I have high sights for the future so I will make this happen! This dream will come about! 🤗

If you're still committed, you won't lose on the marketing materials, just a bit delayed in their use. I'd create another biz. It's a little extra work (monthly and at tax time depending on how you're required to file/report) until you can dissolve the newest biz and return to your original concept.
