One in person. There are a few who are partially awake but can’t handle the full truth, nor do they want to hear about anything too in depth. A lot of people choose to stay asleep because the fear of being ostracized by everyone they know is simply too terrifying. So heads stay safely buried in the sand. Enmeshment and cognitive dissonance are very common where I live. If you disagree with the group’s collective opinion and ideals that typically mimic the mainstream narrative, you’re out. And if you choose to openly disagree with them and cause conflict and encourage independent, critical thinking, you’re officially a villain until further notice.

Early 2000s when I was in college and I had two extreme reactions with two different birth controls, one that ended in the emergency room. After the second situation, I stopped altogether and resisted the pressure every single appointment that every single doctor tried to shame and scare me into taking birth control again. Also during that same time, I was originally studying to become a journalist and part of my coursework took a deep dive into advertising and all the forms of propaganda. I also took an entire course called “politics in the news”. Needless to say, I decided not to become a journalist because I couldn’t stomach the thought of brainwashing the masses and I threw my TV out after that and haven’t owned one since. Everything is fake. A few years later, around 2009, I worked in the public health field assisting research teams applying for massive federal, public and private grants and I witnessed the behind the scenes of how the majority of scientific research that our tax dollars fund is completely corrupt and “dirty” depending on who can profit off of the results and if the results are not profitable, it will never be published. Many many more layers and personal stories beyond those first few blinks awake….
