Friendship & Fellowship in Christ
Friendship in Christ is more than shared interests or good conversations—it’s about walking together in faith. When Christ is at the center of our relationships, fellowship becomes a place of encouragement, growth, and genuine love. In Christian fellowship, we support one another through prayer, accountability, and compassion. We celebrate victories together and stand side by side during difficult seasons. These relationships remind us that we are not meant to do life alone. God often uses Christian friendships to strengthen our faith, challenge us to grow, and reflect His love through others. Whether it’s a simple message of encouragement, a shared prayer, or showing up when someone needs support, fellowship builds a strong and lasting foundation. Let us continue to be intentional in building Christ-centered friendships—ones that uplift, inspire, and draw us closer to God and to one another. ā€œThey devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.ā€ — Acts 2:42

I’m very thankful for my ā€œchurch ladiesā€. We have a ladies chat on our phones where we ask for prayer, answer prayer requests and pass along info. It’s great!
🧠 Guarding Your Mind: The Battlefield of Thoughts
Your mind is a battlefield. Every day, thoughts compete for your attention—some uplifting, some distracting, and some that quietly pull you away from peace, purpose, and truth. What we allow to stay in our minds eventually shapes our actions, attitudes, and direction in life. ✨ A few reminders: Not every thought deserves your agreement. Just because a thought appears doesn’t mean it’s true. Guarding your mind is an act of self-discipline and faith. When negative, fearful, or limiting thoughts arise, pause and ask: šŸ‘‰ Is this thought helping me grow? šŸ‘‰ Is it aligned with truth and purpose? Replace what drains you with what strengthens you—gratitude, prayer, focus, and intentional thinking. šŸ’¬ Reflection Question: What’s one thought pattern you need to guard against this week, and what will you replace it with? Drop your thoughts below šŸ‘‡ Let’s grow together.

My mind is constantly going here and there. I truly need to begin the day by quieting my mind, asking God to be with me and go from there. It’s exhausting for sure. It’s not nearly as bad now that I’m retired, but definitely still there to a degree.
✨ Christian New Year Declarations ✨
As we step into a new year, let’s declare God’s truth over our lives with faith and confidence. Declarations are powerful when they’re rooted in God’s Word and spoken with trust in His promises. Declare this with me: • I declare that God goes before me in this new year. • I declare peace over my mind and heart. • I declare growth, healing, and renewed faith. • I declare that God’s plans for me are good and purposeful. • I declare obedience, courage, and trust in every season. Speak life, speak faith, and speak hope over the year ahead. God is already at work. šŸ™šŸ’› What is one declaration you’re speaking over your life this year?

I declare that I love the Lord and know that He loves me and is always with me, and that I will continue to trust His timing in my life!
✨ Emmanuel — God With Us ✨
One of the most powerful names of Jesus is Emmanuel, which means ā€œGod with us.ā€ Not God above us only. Not God distant from us. But God with us — present, near, and deeply involved in our lives. From the moment Jesus entered the world, God showed us that He chose closeness over distance. He stepped into human weakness, uncertainty, pain, joy, and everyday life. Emmanuel means that we are never alone — not in our waiting, not in our struggles, and not even in our doubts. When life feels heavy and prayers feel unanswered, Emmanuel reminds us that God is still here. When we feel unseen or misunderstood, Emmanuel assures us that God understands fully — because He walked among us. This truth brings comfort and courage: • God is with us in our joy and celebration • God is with us in grief, fear, and confusion • God is with us in the ordinary moments we often overlook šŸ“– ā€œThe virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel (which means ā€˜God with us’).ā€ — Matthew 1:23 Emmanuel is not just a Christmas message — it’s a daily promise. A promise that God’s presence does not depend on our strength, our perfection, or our circumstances. He is with us simply because He loves us. As you move through this season, may you rest in this truth: You are not alone. You are seen. You are deeply loved. Emmanuel — God with us, always. šŸ¤

Amen. He is ALWAYS with us, regardless of anything else in the world. We are never alone through a God’s Grace. Merry Christmas!
🌟 Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts
🌟 Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts God has uniquely equipped every believer with spiritual gifts—tools meant to serve, strengthen, and build the Body of Christ. These gifts look different for everyone, and you often discover them by stepping out and serving. Pay attention to what feels natural, what brings joy, and where you see spiritual fruit. Your gifts aren’t meant for spotlight—they’re meant for impact. As you use them, God grows them. What gifts do you sense God developing in you right now?

I’m definitely an ā€œencouragerā€ - whatever is needed. If someone is sick or in the hospital, I visit or send a card. Birthday - card, sometimes a gift or a call. Death in the family? Card and/or go to the funeral. Always trying to provide support. We all need it and I love being there for people. My husband and I pick up our oldest congregant (98) for church every Sunday and Wednesday. He’s such a joy but doesn’t want to be a burden. I always tell him he’s never a bother and everyone loves him, which is true.
