Discussion Question: Exactness Without Edges
The Law of Moses was a "schoolmaster" meant to point us toward Christ. He didn't lower the bar of the law; He moved it from stone tablets into our hearts. Living the law is no longer just about what we do, but who we are while we are doing it. Discussion Question: How does your motivation change when you view a commandment as a tool for personal transformation rather than just a rule to be followed?

@Maria Lake I really like that thought Maria! It makes sense to change the reason why behind the rules we follow. It certainly makes things more personal.
The Master Teacher’s Approach
Are you willing to let the Master Teacher adjust your timeline today? Doctrine and Covenants 121:43 tells us to reprove when needed, but then show an "increase of love." If you feel the Lord correcting your path or your pace today, remember it is an invitation to a higher level of joy.

The Alchemy of Kindness
Kindness is a superpower that can deflect anger and change the atmosphere of a room. When we meet "stiff" energy with a soft answer, we break the tension. Being "coachable" by the Lord means being willing to soften our response even when we feel we have the right to be angry. For the full devotional, visit The Daily Joy Journal in Classroom.
The Weight of a Stiff Neck
There is a big difference between being exact and being stiff. Stiff-neckedness is prideful and unbending. Exactness is about caring for details because we love the Master. Christ was perfectly exact, yet He remained the most reachable and merciful person to ever walk the earth. Am I following my routine out of a "stiff" sense of duty or a "reachable" sense of love?

The Purpose of the Schoolmaster
In Mosiah 3:14, we learn the Law of Moses was given because the people were "stiff-necked." When we struggle to govern ourselves with love, we often need rigid rules to keep us on the path. Rules are training wheels; they protect us until we learn to balance with the Spirit. Where am I hiding behind "rigid rules" to avoid the vulnerability of real growth?
