This is where we have to start thinking beyond being a service provider and start thinking like a CEO. 👑 Ask yourself: 💰 Do I have multiple streams of income? 📊 Do I actually know my business numbers? 💳 Am I building business credit? 🏦 Does my business have money saved? 📋 Do I have systems that can operate without me doing everything? 📦 Could I add retail products, education, digital products, memberships, or another revenue stream? 📈 Am I building something that could eventually grow beyond my individual services? And here's the BIG question: Am I creating a JOB for myself—or am I building an ASSET? There's nothing wrong with working behind the chair. That's where many of us started. At 2:25 PM, the client walks into the salon—25 minutes late. You have another client scheduled at 3:30 PM, and you already know that if you take the late client, there’s a good chance you'll run behind for the rest of the day. The client says: “I’m sorry I’m late, but I drove all the way over here. You can still do my hair, right?” Here’s the problem… 👉🏽 You have a late/cancellation policy. 👉🏽 The client has been late before. 👉🏽 You don't want to lose the client. 👉🏽 But you also don't want your 3:30 client waiting because someone else arrived late. 🤔 WHAT WOULD YOU DO? A. Take the client anyway and work faster. B. Tell the client they must reschedule according to your late policy. C. Modify the service so it can be completed before your next appointment. D.
