Expanding Capacity
Hi girls, I had some thoughts this week around "shrinking" myself, and why so many of us hold ourselves back. I always felt like I had to censor parts of myself to make others comfortable, and I realized this was also preventing me from having a better life. Up until now, I would rarely mention good things that happened in my life to anyone. While jealousy will always be present, it's not beneficial for me to worry about it. I've accepted that others' perception of me isn't my problem and feel so much better. If someone doesn't like you, their immediate reaction will be to misunderstand you or try to credit your success to privilege. I feel a lot calmer with other people's unhappiness in themselves, and I'm very grateful for this experience. Shrinking yourself will make you liked, but it comes at the cost of your success. I knew this was coming, but actually facing more hate online was nerve-wracking. I got some angry messages saying that I am super privileged, and a client also called me AI lol. I cried it out last week and went to the beach to relax. I feel so accustomed to it now, and I made more money this week!! I love how money literally feels your capacity expanding. I'll continue to focus on helping people, giving back, and doing what I enjoy. 🏖️

Sarah I love listening to one of your 10 minutes video in the morning 🥰 I was talking about this subject with a friend of mine and I told her the hate she would receive would show her her right path. Her haters wouldn’t want her away from them.
Outfit SOS Special Dinner 🖤
Girls, I need your help & expertise! 🤍 I have a 1:1 dinner date next Friday at Firedoor Chef Lennox Hastie’s restaurant Australia. For context: it’s one of the hardest tables to get in Sydney. The entire kitchen runs on wood fire only no gas, no electricity and it’s an open kitchen, so you actually watch Lennox cook right in front of you. The menu changes daily based on the best ingredients available, and it’s a set chef’s menu a truly special, intimate experience. The vibe is elegant think refined, warm, sophisticated. It’s starting to get chilly in Sydney at night 🍂 so I’m keeping that in mind. I’ve found 3 options I’m considering (see photos attached!) but I’m completely open to your suggestions. What would you wear to a place like this?

The first one is stunning on you. You can add a shawl (maybe in wool) to your shoulders not to get cold and also match the warmth, woody ambiance.
Would you be interested in the topic of dealing w/ burnout/depression/over-working?
I'd like to raise this topic and test out here if any of you resonate with it? or find it hard to manage? It doesn't have to be as harsh as depression, but I know how intense mine and yours lives are <3 The feeling of forgetting how to smile, how to be happy about daily small things/joys, and learning how to get back on track, how to heal. I believe many fear this topic, and find it hard to admit it, they might find it hard to see it as a natural progression of things. Or some are scared to admit it because it would mean that they "failed". I believe that you can go through these moments elegantly. Achieve things despite "burnout" / "Depression". Learning how to be grateful for the small daily joys (learning how to find them), despite a hurtful past that left marks, despite the "weight" of future goals and achievements that takes all of our attention. Could you, please, share your experience? If you have ever dealt with this? Or maybe you are carrying this inside even now?

Spotted a limiting belief!
I was watching Leyla’s new video on YouTube when I stumbled upon this comment (photo below) — and something clicked in my mind 💡 I recalled something I wrote on a hotel pad paper: “decide for yourself what it means to be happy”, and the comment summarizes it completely! So why have I been going around telling everyone I wanted my own business? I have so many memories of my parents saying it so much without challenge that it became a belief - “business - hustling, sacrifice - is the *only* way to get the financial, geographical, and time freedom that you want.” Which obviously isn’t true, right? I’ve always wanted to use my creativity and talents to benefit others as a way to sustain and elevate my lifestyle, and I feel so validated and seen now. Do you ladies have any thoughts on where I can get started? I’m embarrassed to say I don’t know where to start, but once I get the right direction I’m sure I can get the ball rolling 🩷🫶 Love, Jaymie

I feel you ! I began to go to new places (popup stores, new district of the city). So my brain would have a new point of view to work with. I am very shy so at the beginning I did this and didn’t speak to nobody. I also began to craft. I made a amaryllis flower in beads for a birthday in November because it was a flower of that month and the meaning match’s their personality. Took a month to master the technique 😅 but I achieved on time. Recently I love to write like gossip girl. It’s quite challenging but it helps me writing less with impact. Instead of your creativity to benefit others make sure it benefits you. It should be the reverse of hustling. I know it’s a concept hard to grasp. I am still on it. It should flow. When you have an idea note it down and when you feel calm bring it to life, no expectations, no timing, no one to please 💗

@Jaymie Tan you already are a Creative director. You can create a portfolio with what you already did on your sister business. For the niche you need to discover your style. I like to inform myself on fashion and architect history to open my mind. This is the tricky part because we both need a clear path to achieve but that were we need to work on going with the flow 🫂😭😂. Go to museum, go for a walk with the mindset of what can life bring me with the sounds, the texture, the colours,… The ideas will come by a discussion with people in that new environment. The harder is to begin evolving in those new places where we have nothing to lean into. It’s our raw authenticity that we need to show. Otherwise it won’t be aligned. I know the best is yet to come because everything will fall into place at the right time.
My "Old->New Self" Exercise
Hey girls, lets drop our homeworks from today's call, so we can: 1. Look back in the future at how far we've come (always fun to look back at past struggles in retrospective and be proud of ourselves); 2. Share with each other that we are not alone - and potentially give each other advice in case someone struggled with something in the past;

I wanted to rewrite everything and deliver a so-called « perfect » assignment. But I want to come authentic here which I feel safe to be. So, here is what I have written during the last group call. The new part is not developed and I am sure this I will be able to mature it through the weeks together.
