It feels like I should be doing A, but realizing that I really should be doing B, but will actually do C so I can ACTUALLY do D.

Oh yes, when to start seeds, when to plant in the ground depending on plant, weather, etc. It always feel like something is too late, too early and the seedlings have died before it is too warm.... I'll also add, that I REALLY what to have better success on both potatoes and garlic: from when to plant, what to plant in (bucket, ground, raised bed) and how to over winter if needed (garlic). I've only had mild success here.
