Teacher must haves
What are some of your teacher must haves for your classroom? Prize box toys? Classroom management? Decorations? Books?

My absolute must have is a welcoming, clean, and encouraging environment. That sets the tone for a place in which we all would like to be and establishes a foundation of respect for our home away from home. Another important must have you will always find in my classroom is a variety of snacks. Teaching is hard and we do not always take the time to eat real meals as we should so having a variety of snacks allows me and my colleagues to stay energized throughout the day. And a lot of times these snacks become impromptu math manipulatives as well☺️
I'm heading to Thailand!!
Hey y'all! I'm boarding my flight to Thailand soon, and hopefully I get to speak to a group of teachers. My sister is there teaching English and we'll be there to celebrate the holiday with her.

Text the Teacher Thursday and Feel Good Friday
I finally tried these with my Homeroom kiddos. They were so excited to receive their response texts messages! I love that in just this short time that they feel safe with me. #buildingrelationships

Tokens of Appreciation
Just another week in Third grade... One of my little people put this on my desk and as much I appreciate the sentiment I'll be analyzing handwriting and drawings this week so I can give them their dollar back and a thank you hug💙

@Daryl Williams Jr. That's probably what would be left after taxes!!!😂
Choose a Daily Relationship Habit
Relationships don’t grow from big speeches, they grow from little consistent habits. This week, commit to one. Greet students at the door. Write a quick note. Ask one genuine question. Pick your habit, share it, and live it out daily. That one choice can shift the culture of your classroom.

@Erin Bernat Thank You! I teach elementary students. And yes it is optional. As a secondary teacher you could also have them do it in the form of an Instagram post or the social media platform that your students enjoy the most.
