Welcome! Introduce yourself + share a pic of your training space
Glad you're here! This community is built for coaches, CSCS candidates, and performance-minded professionals who take their craft seriously. 👉 In your first post, tell us: - Who you are and what you do - Where you're at in your CSCS journey (or if you're already certified, what you're working on now) - A fun fact—either about your coaching, your training, or just something that makes you you - And post a photo of your training space—whether it’s a garage gym, college weight room, or the local fitness club. We want to see it! This is your space to level up, get real answers, and connect with others who are serious about performance—let’s raise the standard together.

Hi everyone, my name is Kris. I’m a personal trainer and performance coach, working mostly with special populations (CVD, PVD, etc.) and youth athletes. I’m currently in nursing school pursuing my NP. I’m planning to take the CSPS sometime in March or April, and the CSCS this summer. Right now I have zero life and do basically nothing fun or exciting… but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. 😄

@Jacob Goodin ACSM has the Clinical Exercise Physiologist, which is probably considered the pinnacle. I don’t meet the eligibility requirements with my degree path, so I’m less familiar with it. When I compared the CSPS to ACE’s CES, it seemed more like a difference in philosophy than anything else. I liked how the NSCA did a great job diving into the pathophysiology and how medical treatment can affect training and recovery, while still keeping exercise prescription science-based without unnecessarily over-restricting people. It doesn’t seem nearly as well known as the CSCS. From what I’ve seen, it’s a smaller pool of challengers and still a relatively low pass rate, around 60% (I believe) I’d be interested to hear what some of the PTs in here think.
