❌3 Punches 👊 ❌
The jab, back hand (cross), and left hook are the foundation of boxing. Mastering them builds timing, balance, and control in every fight. The jab is the most important punch in boxing. It sets distance, disrupts rhythm, and creates openings. A good jab isn’t about power—it’s about speed, accuracy, and repetition. It keeps your opponent busy and lets you control the pace. The back hand (cross) is your power straight. Thrown after the jab, it carries body rotation from the hips and shoulders. A clean cross punishes opponents who slip or ignore the jab and turns defense into offense instantly. The left hook is a fight-changer. Short, fast, and explosive, it works best after the jab or cross. Proper foot pivot and elbow position make the hook dangerous at close and mid-range. Together, these punches flow naturally. Jab to measure. Cross to punish. Left hook to finish or reset. When combined with footwork and defense, they form the backbone of effective boxing. Which one do you think is the best?
