What do you do when you're tired?
Today was a rough day for me. I didn't sleep well last night at all (I hurt my foot and couldn't get comfy - I'm fine now). I had to be up at 4:30 this morning for work, and of course it was a super busy shift in the ER. By the end of the shift I was exhausted. And ALL I could think about was chocolate. I had some. Then I wanted more. I recognized that this craving was because I was tired. This is ALWAYS my pattern when I'm super tired. So I gave my body what it needed - a nap. Now I feel so much better and the craving is gone. I'm giving a talk to a bunch of doctors on Friday, and I was "supposed" to work on my slides for it this evening. A younger version of me would have powered through the fatigue and eaten all the chocolate I needed to get the slides done. The current version of me allowed myself the rest I needed. I'm curious to know what signals your body gives you when you're exhausted? Do you recognize when you're tired, or are you like me, where it took those familiar chocolate cravings before I checked in to see what my body needed? Do you allow yourself rest when you're tired? Let's talk it out in the comments.

For me, Iโ€™m getting so much more in tune with this. I find that any negative thinking usually correlates with tiredness. I now, instead of trying to fix whatever I am dwelling on, stop and say, โ€œIโ€™m tired go to bed.โ€ Then see if the thing is still a thing in the morning. It took me 50 years to figure this one out.
Mindful Eating Practice
Hello everyone! We have our first mindful eating practice together later today. This is an excellent practice for everyone, but especially if youโ€™re working on healing your relationship with food. Itโ€™s a beautiful, gentle way to explore different foods and begin to understand how your body feels with different foods, and how your experience of taste and enjoyment change when you really slow down and pay attention when you eat. For the first class, we will use an orange or a tangerine. If you donโ€™t have that at home, feel free to bring anything else you have handy. The replay will be up later in the Mindful Eating classroom. If youโ€™d like to join us for this class, consider upgrading to the paid membership here: https://www.skool.com/enough-already-3530/plans

This is beautiful! It's so great to experience eating in this way... so much more beautiful and nourishing to the nervous system to think in terms of enjoyment, nourishment, and NOT "diet". Many people will benefit from this beautiful practice.

I am so glad you're here. If you've landed in this community, chances are you're tired. Tired of fighting your body, tired of all the noise, tired of feeling like you're never quite doing it right. Maybe you've been searching for something that feels softer, safer, and more real. This is that place. Enough, Already. was built for women who are ready to stop pushing and start listening. To heal their nervous system. To find peace with food. To come home to their bodies. That's what we'll do here together. Here's how to get the most out of this space: 1๏ธโƒฃ Explore the Classroom. Here is where you'll find the Intuitive Eating 101 course and other practices and resources to support you on your journey. 2๏ธโƒฃ Jump into the community feed. Read what others are sharing. Comment. Connect. 3๏ธโƒฃ Check out the support options in this community: https://www.skool.com/enough-already-3530/plans 4๏ธโƒฃ Introduce yourself below. Tell us what brought you here. ๐ŸŽ‰ I'll go first ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป I'm Michelle โ€” the physician, weight-neutral coach, yoga teacher, and Body Trust provider behind this community. I built Enough, Already because I lived through the exhaustion of knowing all the right things and still not being able to find the peace with food and my body I was searching for. I'm a woman in midlife, navigating perimenopause, and rediscovering what it means to feel at home in my own skin. This community is as much a part of my journey as it is yours. I'm here, I'm in it with you, and I'm so glad you've joined me. Michelle

Hi! Nice to meet you! Oh my goodness Michelle, I just love you on your video! I'm Kristine. I'm a trauma-informed intuitive coach, bodyworker, intuitive art guide, and women's group facilitator helping people reconnect with their own knowing through the wisdom of their body. Intuitive Eating was a HUGE part of my recovery and healing with cPTSD. This group feels so very much aligned with me! I've also had a huge curiosity about gentle yoga, but EVERY GENTLE YOGA class I have taken was NOT gentle, was not size inclusive, or mobility inclusive, and what seemed "gentle" to the athlete teaching the class, was not gentle for my body, nor my nervous system. I found the classes triggering, and I never found the benefit. I'm excited to learn more about how you work, and join in here to receive and give support! Thank you so much for having me!
