Pumpkin Health
😀Hi All! I grew up on a pumpkin farm🍃 and just planted my own little pumpkin patch. I wanted to explore remedies pumpkins can offer: — relieving constipation: the high fiber content and pumpkin purée can help minor digestive distressed. — soothing skin: pumpkin extract and pumpkin seed oil are used in folk remedies to reduce skin inflammation and treat dry conditions like eczema. — 😴improving sleep: pumpkins seeds contain tryptophan and zinc, which helped the body produce melatonin to naturally help you relax and sleep.

what did you grow up with that could be used at a home remedy?
The "Spring Clearing" Elixir (Radish & Thyme)
This is a classic old-world remedy for lingering winter congestion or spring allergies. Radishes are natural decongestants, and thyme is a good antiseptic. I like to use items in my garden. I have thyme and the radishes started popping up! - The Remedy: Radish Syrup. - How to do it: Grate 2–3 fresh radishes and mix them with 2 tablespoons of raw honey and a few sprigs of fresh garden thyme. Let it sit for 2 hours until a liquid syrup forms. - Make tea: Let your tea (peppermint or ginger work) cool down for about 3–5 minutes so it’s "warm" rather than hot, then stir in your garden syrup.

What are some of your spring garden remedies?

Oh ow! That does sound very unpleasant. My allergies have also been like that this Spring even though I am taking allergy medication. I wonder how long this radish syrup keeps for. I'm thinking of making some and storing it for next Spring. I'll find out next year!
Turmeric - Incredible Versatility - My Time in Vietnam
🌿I'm curious what you use for wounds? In Vietnam, turmeric (nghệ) is often called the "Golden Gift" because of its incredible versatility. 1. The Gold Standard: Inflammation & Joint Pain 2. Digestive Healing (The "Stomach Specialist") 3. Wound Healing & "Clear" Skin Vietnamese culture is famous for using fresh turmeric to prevent scarring. - Why: Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and coagulant. It speeds up the "re-epithelialization" process (how your skin knits back together).

@Jennifer Tivald Thanks Jen, as I get older I will keep that in mind. My 49th birthday is this summer. I tend to get more aches and pains these days :)

oh that's awesome! I bought some grapefruit nasal spray a while back but did not think about adding it to my neti-pot. Maybe I'll try adding just a tiny bit🫡I heard from Marianne that you will be at the Reike Master class this Spring, I'm sure you'll do very well. I think I'll be busy this Spring but had Marianne add me to the Autumn list. Take Care🌿
