Multiple Dogs?
How do you manage training multiple dogs? Do you train one and crate the others? Have you trained dogs to do stays or something while the others are training? Or something else? Currently, some of mine are fit-pitchers and I train less because of it.

Oh goodness, this is one of my biggest challenges. I cannot have any dog in the house except the one I am working with. If they are shut up in bedrooms, they bark. Sometimes I put Rocky in the bedroom with an "ocean chew", but neither Stella, nor Bandit, will eat anything (not even a Kong) if training is going on in the house. So, the two that are not training are outside in the front porch/dog yard area. Bandit stands at the door and watches the dog training through the storm door, but stays more or less quiet. That works great unless something is going on outside that they feel the need to bark at. Then, I have to contend with that. It is generally a mess. If I train outside, it is actually a little easier because then the dogs I am not working with are inside, and they are quieter. That isn't always possible, but when it is, I try to do it.

@Brenna Fender Working with Bandit in the back yard is best, but for 4 months of the year it is out of the question!! We are back to being able to use it sometimes now, though. I have only worked with Stella out there a little. She finally has decent focus inside, but she can improve outside if I work with her more. Maybe in the fall, that will be something we try to do.
Checking in!
Hi Everyone! I have not been starting a lot of new threads lately and I've not posted my own attempt at the March Challenge, which seems to have fallen flat for everyone. I apologize for my absence... I've been having some health problems that have been a little overwhelming, including vertigo which limits my computer time. If you see me on Facebook and think I seem active there, I actually work in social media as part of my job so I have to prioritize that. I'm hoping to be well enough to fly to watch my daughter swim at the Collegiate Artistic Swimming National Championships at the end of next week. It's a *6* hour flight for someone with vertigo, so it may be the worst thing I've ever done to myself. We'll see. I'll keep you posted. So please comment on a few things so we can keep this group going and serving as a supportive, helpful environment for everyone who enjoys dog training! 1. What are you up to? Are you training and/or trialing? In what sports? 2. Do you have any brags from recent accomplishments? If so, please share! 3. What kind of thing would you like to see for the April challenge? Do you want it to be related to tricks? Agility? Basic foundation skills? Rally? Fetch? If you'd like to help support this group, please check out and share with a friend my dog-related coloring books on Amazon (https://amzn.to/4thZu1B) and my dog agility skills and drills books on Clean Run (https://www.cleanrun.com/product/ready_to_run_vol_2_agility_skills_drills_for_small_spaces/index.cfm). I also have several on-demand courses that are dog-sport related, also available on Clean Run (https://www.cleanrun.com/category/online_dog_training_classes/online_dog_agility_courses_by_instructor/brenna_fender_online_agility_classes/index.cfm).

@Brenna Fender It's all right. I have neglected Freestyle horribly. Stella needs training and she is really ready for it now. This will force me to actually work on some Freestyle with her instead of doing Parkour stuff all the time!! And, Bandit doesn't care what we do, as long as he gets two turns!! I will let you know and we can talk about it!!

@Brenna Fender HAHAHAH!! Yes. Bandit always has to go first and then get an extra turn at the end. So, if Rocky and Stella get two turns, Bandit has to have three!! But, often his last turn is very short.
