The IMO Isn't The Problem
💡 Stop Blaming the System — Build the Right One You don’t need to bash an IMO to figure this business out. You need to understand what model you’re trying to run. 🧠 What I’ve learned after talking to a LOT of agents: The issue isn’t always the IMO… 👉 It’s trying to force a business model that doesn’t fit you👉 Or running a system without understanding how it actually works 📞 Let’s talk about leads (honestly) After a lot of conversations and personal experience: - Leads can work - BUT… they are very difficult to make profitable Especially if you don’t have: ✔️ A very specific system✔️ Strong follow-up process✔️ Capital to test and optimize✔️ Thick skin for rejection And most importantly: ⚠️ A system that is TCPA / DNC compliant⚠️ AND actually pre-qualifies the prospect Because if those two things aren’t in place… You’re just: - Calling cold names - Competing with other agents - Hoping something sticks 🔑 The real problem Most agents are told: “Just buy leads and work harder” Instead of being taught: “Here’s HOW to build a system that actually converts” Big difference. 🟢 The alternative (what I focus on) Instead of relying on volume and hoping… Build a referral-based, organic business: - Realtor partnerships - Loan officer relationships - P&C agent connections - Local network Now your conversations start with: “Hey, you were referred to me…” Instead of: “Why are you calling me?” ⚖️ The truth most people won’t say - Leads = faster, but higher risk - Organic = slower, but more stable Neither is “wrong” But if you don’t have: - The money - The system - The compliance 👉 Leads can burn you fast 🔥 Final takeaway You don’t need to tear down an IMO. You need to: 1. Decide how you want to build your business 2. Go ALL IN on a system that actually works 3. Make sure it’s compliant and sustainable If you’re building organic/referral-based… You’re playing the long game — and that’s where real businesses are built.
