Schedule E vs Schedule C
How do you convince a Tax Attorney that your STR belongs on Schedule E not Schedule C? How much tax savings am I missing out on with him using the wrong Schedule and how do I correct it moving forward. Also the year he used it I did a cost seg and now being audited.

We had the same issue.. .funny enough we would have gotten a good refund if he would have just filed it on schedule C but turns out thats not right, so now having to convince him to do it correct on schedule E even though we wont get a refund… :D

Only if you qualify for the Real Estate Professional Status (750 hours a year and more than in any other job) as far as I understand.

Did anyone just hear this in the zoom call? If we meet up with someone in our area that is from inside of this community, the bill is on him (dont go to crazy now!).
