Book Bytes: Reset by Dan Heath
So my LinkedIn outreach process led me to receive this book for free and I am so happy about it. Here are keys from the introduction: Every system is designed to get the results that it currently gets. So if you want different results, change is necessary and challenging. So what can we do to make it less challenging? We need to find: - Leverage points: actions that have outsized rewards - Resource stacks: Load up resources on the leverage to get max impact fast - because progress is the most important aspect of a good work day for a person It turns out that there is a system to find leverage points and a system to resource stacking - thatโ€™s what the rest of the book is about.

@Ed Bailey Made to Stick
Tough Questions Require Great Answers
Someone asked me: If you had unlimited time and resources, what would your ultimate vision look like for the impact you want to make? I didnโ€™t like my answer which was: Thatโ€™s a really good question. I think I would want to try to redesign education, work, and communities so that more people had a chance to be successful and fulfilled. Have no desire to be a politician and Iโ€™ve already held elected office so I know how hard systemic change is from that seat. I want to make the real rules of the game of life accessible to everyone equally. Iโ€™m going to work to add specificity to this answer so that I can get it done.

@Ed Bailey, I think we're all trying to add specificity to our goals. There are 2 paths I'm currently exploring right now.
Choosing a Personal Day every month
So a while back I decided that the 21st of every month (my bday is March 21) is a personal day where I invest in myself and enjoying the day with no strings attached. I started looking forward to those days and enjoyed them so much that now I try to find 1-2 days per week that are 'eddie' days. The surprising results that I am more willing to be productive on the other 5 days. So it turns out - sometimes choosing you helps you choose everyone you care about too

@Ed Bailey Great idea! I'm one of those people who can feel guilty if I'm not working, but I can get behind a day of the month when I feel no guilt for doing what I wanted to do that day.
Focus on being correct instead of right
If I am having a good day - I am wrong multiple times because I believe in taking intelligence risks backed by data and pattern recognition. Right = MY answer or preference is what happens Correct = the BEST answer for the situation given the context is what's decided upon Right and Correct don't line up as much as you think. When there is no clear correct answer, by all means do what you can live with. Just remember that people make the biggest errors when they are really sure and really incorrect.

This makes me think of the phrase "You don't know what you don't know." But when we do know, then we can do better!
You (and I) are 20 million impressions away
I fully convinced that if anyone wants to change their life professionally or economically, only 1 number matters: 20 million impressions Why that specific number? Well the math goes like this: if I can get 1% of those 20,000,000 impressions to a destination (like a website) and I get 1% of those people to take action, that's 2,000 customers. If I can get each of those customers to spend $500 over the course of time, that's $1 million in revenue. It gets better - the going rate for impressions is $20 per 1,000 impressions. So even if I had to buy all 20 million impressions, it would only cost $400,000. Even if I couldn't afford to buy the impressions, posting content on any social media platform is $0.00 It couldn't be that easy to turn $1 into $2.50, right? Well I'm going to find out and you can come along for the ride. Stay tuned!
