Introduce Yourself! Where are you from? What are you passionate about? What are your goals within this community?
Hi All! My name is Mary (she/her), and I live in Arlington, WA on a beautiful 20 acre farm, Pragtree Farm. I have been co-stewarding this land with three of my friends for a couple of years now and am honored to be a part of this intentional community. This farm has a rich history of many hands contributing to caring for this space in a way that helps to regenerate the earth. Tending to the land is truly one of my passions. I am excited to connect with you all and be a part of this collective, where we can share what we are working on and what we are learning and get feedback from others on how to best take care of the land (and each other). I am a landscape/farm designer who is passionate about regenerative farming practices. I love bringing designs to life by embracing my artsy side, but really, it is my goal to help others and put my all into this "work." I want to continue learning how I can help land owners, fellow stewards, enthusiasts, and daydreamers explore the tools it takes to create a sanctuary that fully embodies permaculture ethics and is soothing to the soul. We are in this together and can't wait to meet you! P.s. Say hi to your dog for me.

Hi I’m Kristen. After upending my life and relocating from the suburbs of Boston, MA to Central NY, I am here for the community learning and also for figuring out ways to apply permaculture to a rental situation. While I began in a property I owned near Boston, I will likely be renting a townhouse/townhouse for the next 5 years with only the ability to do this on a concrete patio, and stolen spots on hardscape with planters. While I may not be able to directly help soil biodiversity, I believe I can still contribute to the ecosystem wherever I am. I am VERY interested in @Ania Sobczuk work and look forward to contributing in my own way as well maybe acting as my own experiment 😅. I also hope to start the Cornell University program as I am not far from there.

@Andrew Tuttle thanks Andrew! Cornell has a Permaculture program and that’s what I’m most interested in. As for community gardens, I found one through one of the local libraries, but we will see if I can get a plot. That’s why I want to look at containers. I do have a private back patio and a hard scape area with rocks. I know permaculture won’t necessarily work there but I can still learn and implement what I can until I have some land to play with. I miss my morning coffee and checking the status of veggies and woodland creatures :).

I’m super bad at this part. Currently navigating life changes, owning my practice and looking to find my way out of the broom closet.
