Who Are You Beneath the Roles? A 10-Minute Identity Check-In Mother. Partner. Daughter. Employee. Caregiver. Friend. We carry so many titles that sometimes we can go an entire day—or an entire season—without remembering the woman underneath them. Today, give yourself ten minutes to remember her. Your Identity Check-In 1. Take away your roles for a moment. Not what you do for everyone else. Not who needs you. Just you. 2. Choose four words that describe who you are at your core. I AM: Maybe you are strong. Compassionate. Creative. Resilient. Brave. Curious. Funny. Determined. Gentle. Powerful. There is no right answer. These are your words. 3. Say them out loud. “I am __________. I am __________. I am __________. I am __________.” 4. Ask yourself one question: Did I give this woman a chance to show up today? If not, what is one tiny thing you can do today that feels like you? Remember This Your children don’t only need to know you as Mom. They get to know the woman you are, too. Your interests. Your strength. Your weirdness. Your softness. Your courage. Your differences. Those differences matter. When we remember who we are and allow our children to see it, we teach them something powerful: You don’t have to become like everyone else to belong. You are allowed to know who you are. You are allowed to like who you are. And you are allowed to bring that person with you into motherhood. MHM sees you—not just the mom. The whole woman. 💜 Micro-Learning Monday | Mothers Helping Mothers Education
