I am so looking forward to celebrating 50 years at the Ventriloquist Convention. I have not been at a convention for almost 20 years. I am always working but this year I asked the theater for the week off and believe it or not he said yes. So I leave for the airport in a few minutes. I will send you all a report and pictures. Talk to you all soon.
Hi everyone. Kirk Maynard here from Natural Bridges Puppets. I am returning to performing as a Ventriloquist after doing puppetry for many years. I'm still doing the puppetry but am putting together a 30-minute vent act with some of my characters. Amazing how I still have the talent and skills after all these years. Should be fun and an interesting addition to our current shows and services.
Check me out on “The Tom Barnard Show” where I talk about “250 Years of American Ventriloquism: How Ventriloquism Influenced American Culture” https://youtu.be/gAaYEZHAsOI?si=mp_juusH9txG2HJB
I have a question and I need. Hope you guys have the answer help me out with this. I am trying maybe to get out a little bit meaning trying to test the watchers to see how much I would do in a retirement home with my ventriloquist act with my characters what are suggestions I should do and retirement home
Yes, you need to have some type of performer liability insurance, especially if you have audience members come up and engage with you on stage, like using a Vent Mask. I'm sure some of these places would love to have you come and perform. Good luck.
