What I Learned as a New Dispatcher: Mistakes, Growth & Real Goals
Hi guys, Though there are already a lot of experienced people helping others in this group, I thought to share my part too! I started scrolling through this community a couple of weeks ago. One thing that really stood out to me is how many people mention their income targets, for example “I want to make $8,000 per month!” Seeing these "target posts" made me stop and think, am I missing something? Why have I never thought of aiming that high? Right now, I'm revolving around $1K to $2K per month. To my fellow beginners: I took some time to reflect and realized yes, we can make that much, but it’s not going to happen overnight. It’ll take time, effort, and consistency. You need to stay committed and work honestly. You’ll make mistakes. You’ll mishandle leads. You might even lose clients, and it’ll hurt because you’ll feel like your hard work didn’t pay off. But here’s the thing: that’s all part of the journey. Before you even think of signing clients, make sure you’re fully prepared. Know the dispatch process inside and out. If you land a client but don’t actually know what you're doing, you might end up losing them, and it’ll feel like your effort went to waste. But the truth is, the mistake was on your side. So here’s my advice: 📌 Learn first, then start. 📌 Build your skills until you’re confident. 📌 Be consistent. Stay focused. In short: To reach the income level you’re aiming for, you have to start from scratch and work your way up. And next time you see someone posting about big monthly targets, don’t let it shake you. Just keep reminding yourself: you have your own goals. Work hard until you succeed. 💪
