READ, WORSHIP, PRAY!
Some of us are still living in the flesh, and I’m not eliminating myself, either! I mean, we KNOW the Lord, but WOW . . . THERE’S SOME WORK TO DO, Amen? God loves us, we are His children, we are saved, we know the Lord, BUT . . . we keep defaulting back to foolishness, bad habits, bad patterns. We need to ask, “How do I move to the Spirit? How can I start living in the Holy Spirit ALL THE TIME? How can I rid myself of “Stinkin’ Thinkin’?” There IS a simple answer; READ YOUR BIBLE, I mean, because the Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Bible, right? Also, WORSHIP! When you worship, your soul opens to the Holy Spirit and allows Him to fill you. And PRAY!!!! When you pray, the Holy Spirit opens your heart and mind, allowing you to commune with God. Lastly. . . Walk with people who are filled with the Holy Spirit! Build relationships with people who are doing the three things listed above! We are stronger together than we are by ourselves!

I’ve found that intentionality is key. Just like my marriage, if I don’t make time to talk and spend quality time with my husband, it will suffer. When I take time to pray and study His word each morning, and then sprinkle prayer and praise throughout the day, things go much better. I also ask for the Holy Spirit to fill and renew me daily. Additionally, I intentionally avoid things that lead me away from God. This can be as simple as being distracted from what’s important. For example, I might need to turn off the TV, the radio, the news, or social media.
