🏁 Finish Line Friday — That's A Wrap!
What's your win this week? Drop it below — we celebrate ALL of it and ALL of you today. My win this week? I survived. Literally 😂🌿 And that's enough. We don't always need a dramatic transformation. Sometimes you just make it to Friday with your plants intact and your sanity mostly intact and you call that a W. 👊 I've also been working on a NEW classroom this week that will drop later today! You're SECOND pantry — Why my freezer is my BFF 🧊 Now drop YOUR win below — big, small, or just still standing. It all counts in here. 🏁👇

🐾 Can we talk about something that many vegans think about...but rarely talk about?
One of the hardest parts FOR ME PERSONALLY of being vegan isn't what I eat. It's what I feed the animals I love. I'd love to have an honest, judgment-free, NICE conversation because I suspect many of us have wrestled with this too. For a long time, I felt conflicted. I love animals. I care deeply about reducing suffering. Yet I also have a responsibility to care for the animals who depend on me. Over the past year and a half since becoming vegan, I've had to sit with some uncomfortable questions, challenge some of my own assumptions, and ultimately make peace with the choices I make for my own dogs. This absolutely isn't a debate post. It's a curiosity post. I know there are people on all sides of this conversation, and my hope is that we can simply listen to one another with kindness. If YOU'RE vegan and share your life with dogs, cats, or other animals... How do you navigate it? Have you ever felt conflicted? Have you found peace with your decision? Do you avoid talking about it because you're worried about being judged? No right OR wrong answers here. No shaming. No pile-ons. Just an honest conversation that I suspect more of us are having privately than publicly. 🐾💚 Pictures of our newest addition, Dexter. He's a week shy of 4 months old 🐾

The Best Thing Served At Breakfast Wasn't The Tofu Scramble ❤️
Being vegan can be exhausting sometimes 🫠 When we go out, I'm usually the one making adjustments, asking questions, or piecing together a meal from side dishes. Sometimes I feel like the difficult one. Sometimes I even feel a little embarrassed. Today was a beautiful reminder not to shrink myself to make other people comfortable. Ever. My son invited us to breakfast and, without telling me, stopped by the restaurant the day before to make sure his momma had options. 🥲 Fresh-pressed orange juice, fruit, dry sourdough with homemade strawberry jam, and honestly the best tofu scramble I've ever had in a restaurant. I felt seen today. ❤️

@Jenny Rader-Bakos 100% agree...we also feel the embarrassment, and frustration when my daughter joins me at friends or family outings. Im often asked to bring hers...nobody even wants to figure it out..
