Hi folks. I'm Kim. I have a membership called 'English Conversation' and I'm a CELTA English teacher. However, I'm beginning to see that I prefer running the business and being an overall 'coordinator and helper' than actually teaching 😆 I always seek out support roles and businesses, but I really need to monetize them and I find that harder! I want to get personal for a second. This is Zara. My daughter. She came into this world this February, 23 days early, and she spent over 50 days in the NICU fighting battles most people will never understand. My wife and I lived in that hospital. Sleepless nights. Not knowing what was wrong. Watching monitors. Accelerated heart rates. Desaturation events. Alarms going off at 3am. It was one of the scariest experiences of our lives. After a long journey, we finally found out she has a rare condition called Silver-Russell Syndrome. It affects her growth, her feeding, development, and more unforeseens that will unfold with time. The first few months of her life were filled with uncertainty, fear, and a lot of prayers. I'm not sharing this for sympathy. I'm sharing it because it changed everything for me. Before Zara, I was building because I wanted success. After Zara, I'm building because I have to. For her. For my wife. For the life I want to give them. 50+ days in the NICU taught me that tomorrow isn't promised. That the things we put off "until we're ready" might never happen if we keep waiting. That the best time to build the life you want is right now. She's home now. Growing. Fighting. Beating the odds. And every morning I wake up and see her face, I remember why none of this is optional for me. So when I say I want you to win, I mean it. Because I know what it feels like to need to win. Not for ego. Not for clout. Not for likes. Not for followers. For the people sitting at the table with you. For the ones who won't eat if you don't figure this out. For the people who believe in you even when you don't believe in yourself. For the ones counting on you to become who you said you'd be. What about you? What's your why? The real one. Not the surface-level answer. The one that keeps you up at night. The one that makes quitting impossible.
