Over and over I hear from Homeschoolers that they love reading classics. I have also heard that they have trouble finding them at their libraries, they have read all the classics at their library or they have all their favourites at home. My challenge for you is to visit your library and take a pic or multiple pics with your favourite classic reads! Post them under this thread by January 30th when I'll drop my newest resource about how to find the classics you love through your library! Dropping my favourite library card gif.
Skool is gamification at its finest! You’ll notice that the more you comment, like and post, you move up levels. Sooooo we can name our levels! Help me decide the names of levels 2-8, one is newbie and 9 is veteran. Get creative!
Sometimes we can feel like real life gets in the way of homeschooling. After all there are bills to pay, meals to make, babies to nurse, laundry to do (O the laundry!). Next we have lessons but I think that life is homeschooling...if we can grow young people who are great at the day to day stuff and LOVE learning...well that's what it's all about. What "hacks" do you use to make daily chores a thing that everyone knows are just part of life?
We use cooking a lot. We also use her art skills to make birthday/Christmas etc cards. Olivia also goes to the shop once a week to get a few bits. Instead of using a card, I give her cash so she can learn some maths.
My weekend line up was volunteering, furniture deliveries and water deliveries to my daughter (issues with her well), vehicle key delivery to a busy son in law, Sunday worship, a big nap and planning for the week ahead (stay tuned for some renovations here at The Homeschool help desk).
We spent the weekend in hospital 😭 My daughter got rushed in on Friday with suspected appendicitis. Lucky enough it was what they called 'grumbling'. So we got to come home today ❤️
