Just a moment of transparency. Iâm not a doctor, physician, or therapistâbut since I was a kid, I was always called âthe professor.â I developed a mind that thrives on analysis and understanding systems. Iâve always needed to know why something works and how it fulfills its purpose. The flip side of that gift is that, without direction, it can turn into over-analysis and obsession. If untrained, it becomes chronic overthinking. Iâm sharing this because it sits quietly beneath much of what Iâm building here. One of the biggest lessons Iâve learned is the importance of discerning your gifts and allowing God to shape them through purpose, not suppression. Many of us struggle because of the very skills we carryâwhen they havenât yet been placed in the right context. Once I understood this, I didnât just understand why I had the struggles I didâI finally saw how those same traits were meant to be transformed into something useful, disciplined, and purposeful.
