Thank you for sharing your story. Well, the truth of it is that I know I have a unique story, but it's not a success story, it's a survival story. It's not dramatic or over-the-top shock your socks off story. It's just a story - my story, one I never considered blending with my business persona until now. I'm an ESL teacher. People come to me for a listening ear, for speaking practice, to feel like the center of attention, with the purpose of improving their skills. My clients are busy, flustered, overworked, stuck in corporate life, but also somehow feel comfortable in their positions. They have good relationships, great vacations, deep insights on business and productivity. I don't seek to change them, only give them the reminder that communication is many things: connection, a tool, a pleasure, a puzzle and artistic expression. I offer them a place to discover who they are in the language they are learning. Right now, my interest in my brand is fresh. I am both the lone wolf AND just like everybody else. My (new) clients want to connect but don't need another absorbing three hour a day commitment. Interesting how a year or two ago, we had to prove our qualifications to ask for attention (and money), but my impression is that more people want to meet someone like themselves as they learn to feel good in their own skin. Maybe it's just me, but it's much more likely there are many more like me 🌞
