New digs for the miter saw
Now that I finished the pantry, I started rearranging the shop. Here is the first new home. It’s not finished. In fact, I have a problem with the width of the miter saw table top where the rotation hits the edge so I’ll need to figure that out.

I’ve seen where people have done an angle cut on the counter top on the corners so the saw can turn freely.
Creature comforts incoming
I’m upgrading the garage lighting. Previously I bought shop lights and put them up on the walls. I didn’t realize how much heat these things put out. I didn’t mind it in the winter but now I’m cooking. To further remedy that situation I’m adding a Mr. cool 18,000 BTU mini split.

Dust Collector or Collector w/Cyclone
I'm looking for an economical solution for my 2-car garage. This will be mainly for my larger tools (e.g., table saw, jointer, planner ext.) Currently looking at a Laguna DC15 (1100 CFM) $699 with no cyclone and the Bauer collector and cyclone $699. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

@Victor Mena I want the Harbor Freight collector to connect to my VEVOR cyclone. What’s the box thing that you mentioned? Currently I have my rigid shop vac connected to the cyclone. Works good. Works better since I started using bags in the vac too. I just want poses hanging from the ceiling so I will stop tripping over them.

@Victor Mena sorry, I meant what’s it for? I’ve not heard of that.

I am just getting started in woodworking. My father taught me the skills but I never used them. I decided now is the time.
