Happy to be part of the nature of marketing
Hello everyone, I’m really excited to be part of the Nature of Marketing community. I joined because I’m passionate about learning more about marketing, online business, and how people can use digital platforms to grow and create opportunities. One thing I enjoy learning about is e-commerce and platforms like Shopify that help people start and grow online stores. I believe marketing today is not just about selling products, but about creating value, building relationships, and helping people solve problems. I’m here to learn from everyone, share ideas, and contribute wherever I can. Looking forward to connecting and learning from this amazing community.

Welcome Stephanie! Sounds like you might be motivated to offer marketing as a service, is that right? I have almost no experience with ecom brands (physical products, branding, and distribution). But my girlfriend knows a lot about it and helped lots of businesses get their food products into retail stores like Whole Foods. Really cool stuff. So far I mostly talk about writing on threads, email, and copywriting in here. Does one of those stand out as most useful to you right now?
New bonus added to Highly Effective Emails
A somatic parenting coach came to me with a break-even Facebook ad funnel, growing her list for free. A clear offer and years of content to draw from. But every time she sat down to write an email, she froze. Here's how she put it: "It feels like I'm this close to hitting a diamond. But I'm afraid to hit the wrong spot." This is the most common problem I see from people who are otherwise doing everything right. They've got an audience, content, and an offer, but when it comes time to write an email, they go blank. So I ran her through an exercise I first learned from Greek inventor Archimedes, who’s famous for running naked through the streets of Athens screaming "Eureka! Eureka! I found it!" I just turned that exercise into a written bonus training that's now live inside the Highly Effective Emails guide. If you've already got the guide, you've already got it. New bonus added to Highly Effective Emails
Hey everyone 👋 Lots of new faces here — quick update on what's coming.
If you found your way here from my Notion writing system post, welcome. You're in the right place. I've been watching the comments roll in and the message is pretty clear: you don't just want to post more content. You want a system that creates content quickly, schedules it automatically, tracks what's working, and most importantly… get's people to reach out to you via email or DMs and say things like: "Let's get on a discovery call, I'm ready to pay!" That's what we're building here. In April, I'm planning to run a group of people through my Influential Writing System — the same system I use to produce a full month of lead generating content in just a couple hours per week. And the same system I use to schedule it automatically from Notion, sync back the data, and connect every post back to real business outcomes. If that's what you want, I want to hear from you. 👇 Drop a comment below: - What do you do currently? - Where are you at in your writing process? - What's the biggest thing holding you back from turning your content into clients? Let's see who's ready to build this thing together.

Great @Gagandeep Singh so you're currently doing sales but want to write more online?

@Elke E got it, so you actually create the content and then forget to post it? Or, you forget to follow through on the plan entirely?
How do you engage?
I have outdated posts I've been regurgitating while I build and create new stuff more designated to my ICPs, so I don't expect much from my current posts, however, I have noticed I'm only averaging 12-15 views per post, maybe 100 if I'm lucky. So I want to get better at engaging to draw more attention and get more views and build some relationships, but honestly, all I see on Threads are other Marketers selling Threads Growth products, or the general public talking about politics, Mandela effects, or the typical thirst trap or rage baiting stuff. So, just as the title asks, how do you engage? -Do you scroll whatever pops up on your newsfeed and start dropping comments? -Do you custom search for topics or relevant info for your target market? I'm more of a LinkedIn person and my ICPs are there mostly, but I want to grow my Threads for top of funnel and get better at short form writing.

You don’t actually need more engagement to get more views… you need more relevant content. The algorithm doesn’t know who to show your post to if your hook is vague. The more specific your hook is to a certain type of person, the more Threads pushes it to more of those people. That’s the part about social media content that most people never learn. If you do engage, be intentional. Search for your ICPs directly, build a simple list, and engage thoughtfully in their comments. Now relevant people are finding you instead of random ones. The reason your feed looks like marketers and rage bait is because your algorithm hasn’t been trained yet. You train it by being deliberate about who you interact with. Fix the hook first. Then get strategic with who you engage. If you want to see how me and my clients are are getting tens of thousands of views at any follower count while bringing in hundreds of new followers and subscribers per week with this kind of hyper specific content, check out client affinity content inside the classroom.

@Kevin Koppel do you have any examples of posts you see that get lots of reach or engagement but seem vague?

Very cool @Michael Lazari glad to have you. I went through PGA myself and found it very insightful. Big fan of email and trust based marketing as well. I think it's cool that you used to work for google and like building in systems. Makes everything easier in entrepreneurship far as I'm concerned. What do you hope to learn most about here in TNM?

Thanks for the kind words @Michael Lazari . Really appreciate it. That's a really smart idea. Applying your digital skills to an analog business model is a brilliantly effective way to grow their business and yours very fast. I often find myself doing the same :) Glad to be connected. Where are you at in the world?
