You think people don’t like you for (insert your own personal reason). The truth is: you don’t like you, for that reason. You see, people value different things in different people, and YOU ARE THOSE values. And even though you think you’re doing your part in meeting people, you’re not doing the volume required to meet that person that does value those traits.

@Jolene Beaton You know, that recently happened to me in my bachata dance class. I would just spin her instead of slowing down and allowing us to actually enjoy the dance. also to add, a while back I also realized I was carrying the conversation, and that it was a self-worth issue feeling like I needed to perform in order to be worthy of the type of affection and relationship I was looking for. So back to your point it also felt one-sided. I can totally relate. Thanks for sharing
