I was wondering what I need to do about an inherited IRA I got from my mother who passed away in 2018. I was under the impression that I had 10 years until I needed to spend it down. When I was doing some research on line, it said that since the death was prior to 2020 I actually needed to take out RMDs in 2019. Is that true? Thanks.

Does it matter if you use a cost segregation analysis company that actually sends people to inspect the home vs one that does it virtually? My friend is building a home that he plans to STR and get a cost seg analysis on it, but he was warned not to use a company that does it virtually, as it would be less likely to stand up to an audit. Is that correct? What do you advise? Thanks.
