Mulching??
What mulch do you use? Do you use mulch? I use straw because it's easy to get bales and it's easy to spread. The only thing I don't like is I feel like it takes a long time to start to break down into the soil.

We have a mix of the shredded wood mulch and different sized rocks/gravel. We just had it finished (finally) in late June/early July. It is already looking so much better than that thirsty lawn!

Getting seeds to germinate
Hey everyone! I'm hoping to get some mandarin seeds to germinate and hopefully get my own fresh fruit! I will be starting them in my study in a south-facing window. Any tips/tricks/hacks that would help seeds sprout will be welcome!

Clementines! That's the one! I thought they were relatively small plants! I admit, I have a bit of a "black thumb." Do I just put them in a pot of dirt and mist?
