Intro – 6 Deals In, Mindset Still Catching Up
Hey all 👋 I’m originally from Ogden, UT, now living in Grants Pass, OR. Experience Level: I’ve done 6 deals, all as a Private Money Lender. My partner and I fund other investors’ projects, and I’m now shifting into transactional funding to stay active and build capital for future buy-and-hold deals. First time I wired funds to a title company? I checked everything like I was launching a NASA mission. But the deal closed, and I was hooked. Favorite Exit Strategy: Buy and hold—haven’t bought my first rental yet, but I’m working toward it this year. What’s Been Holding Me Back? Honestly—me. I grew up with the W2 mindset: work hard, play it safe, retire eventually. Super thankful for that foundation, but it didn’t prepare me for the uncertainty of entrepreneurship. One major shift came when I stumbled into a big commercial deal and had no idea what to do. I told a friend, and he said, “Entrepreneurs solve problems.” That really stuck. Since then, I’ve been focused on taking ownership, getting uncomfortable, and thinking like an owner. Excited to be part of this group and grow with everyone!
