Me and my best friend Ebony created something bigger than art. We created a movement. The Love You Hope You Love You Too Project is about reminding people in the city of Chicago that they are seen, they are worthy, and they are loved — and intentionally putting joy, hope, and light back into the world. We are hand-making heart-shaped rugs and giving them out across Chicago — and filming all of it to show the world what love looks like in action. We’ll also be stopping to interview people, giving them space to share their joy, gratitude, dreams, and what love means to them, highlighting the beauty and positivity that live in this city every day. There is so much negativity on social media. So we made the choice to flood timelines with love, kindness, and light. This is something the city needs. This is something the world needs. Royalty Rugs is my dream. I create custom rugs for people and also teach kids how to make their own. I do private events too, like for birthdays, girls’ nights, or company retreats, where people can come and make their own rugs. Every rug is one-of-a-kind, and I want people to feel something special when they see it. It’s more than just making rugs—it’s about giving people an experience, teaching them something new, and creating art they can connect with. My goal is to grow this so more people, especially kids and families, can enjoy it and learn from it, and so my clients can get a personal piece of art made just for them.”
