Hi there,
Hi my name is Aria!! I live in Arkansas and I plan on making $3,000 per month dispatching trucks. I am very new to Truck dispatching, and I would really appreciate is someone can take me under their wing a little bit. This is a new career for me, and I am super excited to get started. I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1. Master the fundamentals of dispatching - from load boards to broker communication - so I can build a strong foundation for my logistics company 2. Connect with experienced dispatchers and learn from real-world challenges and successes to avoid common mistakes 3. Develop systems and processes that allow me to scale my business efficiently and consistently For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1. Spending quality time with friends and family 2. going outside and connecting with nature 3. Going to the Gym

February Freight Update: Rebounding After the Holidays ๐Ÿš›๐Ÿ“ฆ
Hey guys I know the holidays have passed and the market is usually slow around now, but I just wanted to remind you guys about how if you can survive now, you will thrive when business is booming again!January is usually rough for freight โ€” post-holiday slowdown, tight budgets, and softer rates, however, February is where things start to stabilize if you know what to look for. Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s happening right now ๐Ÿ‘‡ 1๏ธโƒฃ Volume slowly picking back up Retail restocks, manufacturing restarts, and imports beginning to normalize = more consistent loads than January. Itโ€™s not peak season, but itโ€™s better. 2๏ธโƒฃ Rates are still soft (but negotiable) Rates havenโ€™t fully recovered yet, which means: - Shippers are price-sensitive - Brokers who can communicate value (reliability, fast updates, clean paperwork) win more freight - Dispatchers need to negotiate smarter, not harder 3๏ธโƒฃ Best strategy right now: consistency > cherry-picking Instead of waiting all day for one โ€œperfectโ€ load: - Lock in steady lanes - Keep trucks moving - Build broker relationships that pay off when spring demand hits 4๏ธโƒฃ Spring prep starts NOW The dispatchers who survive slow season are the ones positioning themselves early: - Updating carrier packets - Tracking strong lanes - Learning market trends instead of panicking Slow seasons donโ€™t last forever โ€” but bad habits do. Use February to tighten your systems so youโ€™re ready when freight heats up again ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿ“Š Marketing for Truck Dispatchers: What Actually Works (My Experience and Personal Rankings)
If youโ€™re trying to sign owner-operators, hereโ€™s a breakdown of the main marketing strategies, what theyโ€™re good for, and which ones are most effective ๐Ÿ‘‡ 1๏ธโƒฃ Cold Calling (Most Effective if Done Right) ๐Ÿ“ž Best for: New dispatchers with time, not money Why it works: Direct, immediate conversations with decision-makers Pros: - Fast feedback - No ad spend - High control over messaging Cons: - Rejection-heavy - Requires confidence + consistency ๐Ÿ’ก Reality: Cold calling still signs the most owner-operators per dollar spent when done daily. 2๏ธโƒฃ Warm Outreach (Highest Close Rate) ๐Ÿ”ฅ Best for: Dispatchers with some network or online presence Includes: - Instagram DMs - Facebook groups - Referrals - Follow-ups from past calls Pros: - Less resistance - Higher trust - Higher close rate than cold calls Cons: - Slower to scale - Requires relationship-building ๐Ÿ’ก Reality: Warm outreach closes better, but takes time to build. 3๏ธโƒฃ Paid Ads (Fastest Scale, Lowest Skill) ๐Ÿ“ข Best for: Established dispatchers with budget Platforms: - Facebook Ads - Instagram Ads - Google Search Pros: - Consistent lead flow - Scales quickly Cons: - Expensive - Low-quality leads if targeting is off ๐Ÿ’ก Reality: Ads work only after you know your offer and script. 4๏ธโƒฃ Content Marketing (Long-Term Play) ๐Ÿ“ฑ Best for: Brand builders Includes: - TikTok / Reels - YouTube - Educational posts Pros: - Builds authority - Brings inbound leads Cons: - Slow results - Requires consistency ๐Ÿ’ก Reality: Content compounds, but wonโ€™t save a bad offer. ๐Ÿ† Overall Ranking (Dispatchers): 1๏ธโƒฃ Cold Calling 2๏ธโƒฃ Warm Outreach 3๏ธโƒฃ Paid Ads 4๏ธโƒฃ Content Marketing ๐Ÿ”‘ Best Combo:Cold calls for volume โž• warm follow-ups โž• content for credibility. ๐Ÿ’ฌ My question to you guys: Which strategy are you using right now, and is it actually working?
