Ingram ID
Has anyone ever tried Ingram iD? If so, has it worked for you? Could I get by without paying for ads on it (for Instagram, Google) while I am just starting out on there? Would love to know thoughts on this.

@Eileen Gillick That’s wonderful! Since it’s the one book you’ve published on IngramSpark, have you also thought about promoting it more intentionally to help attract additional reviews and increase its visibility so it can reach more readers?

@Eileen Gillick Of course, I completely understand. Promoting a book can definitely be challenging, especially when you’re trying to figure out what works best. If you don’t mind, I’d be happy to share a few simple tips that could make the process a little easier for you. We could also connect through Gmail so I can follow up and see how things are going along the way. Would you be comfortable with that?
Hello from Pamela!
Hi everyone! 👋 I just wanted to say a big thank you for welcoming me into this community. I'm really happy to be here and excited to connect with so many talented and passionate people. I'm Pamela Druckerman, an author of five books, including Bringing Up Bébé, which has been translated into more than 30 languages. Alongside writing books, I also write about life in France for The New York Times and contribute the Dress Code column for 1843/The Economist. I call Paris home, and writing has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. I joined this community because I love learning, sharing ideas, and connecting with other writers and creators. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, learning from your experiences, celebrating each other's successes, and contributing wherever I can. Thanks again for having me, I can't wait to be part of the conversations and get to know everyone!

UPDATE 7/4/26: : The last three weeks have been eleven-hour days and managing sciatica (because of the eleven-hour days), not to mention my new obsession with Project Hail Mary (happy happy happy), so getting fired up again about writing was yesterday and part of today. My process includes spot revisions; if I change a detail, I change it everywhere in the manuscript. So I did that, and there were quite a few things in that category. I wrote a grand total of one scene and part of the next one after that--which is a 43rd scene. I don't feel so guilty because of all of the above, plus the holiday. My plan for this week is one hour in the chair right after dinner. We'll see what that produces at the next update! --------- Today I created an Excel doc with all the finished scenes [92] and scenes yet to be written [42]. This after having gutted a huge chunk of the novel and effecting some rewrites. Now I need to make good on the new storyline. The good news is, I've identified the next step--writing those scenes. The bad news is, it's a lot! Some scenes will be short, but I estimate 10-15 will be longish, at least. If it's all right with everyone, I'll update this post periodically with my progress. I need the accountability.

@Samara Hamilton That sounds like a great approach, especially for keeping the story's continuity strong. The dance club scene combined with the Cyr wheel performance and the parkour escape through the ceiling sounds incredibly creative and cinematic. I can already imagine how much tension and excitement it will bring. How far along are you with writing that scene?

@Samara Hamilton You're very welcome! That’s exciting to hear it's getting close. I hope everything comes together smoothly as you wrap it up. What part are you working on now?
