Electrical Tips
To pass inspection there are a certain number of GFCI circuits needed within a Tiny Home. - Two are required in the kitchen. Each on a separate 20amp circuit. (There cannot be outlets on the circuit before the GFCI, there can be outlets after the GFCI) - For the bathroom there needs to be at least one GFCI outlet by the sink. (There cannot be outlets on the circuit before the GFCI, there can be outlets after the GFCI) When running wires remember to stub out wire for a smoke detector at each loft entrance. These detectors are required every 20' and at each entrance to a sleeping space. These detectors must be hardwired. Finally if installing a split-mini (fancy name for a heat pump) ensure there is an electrical disconnect for the exterior unit. In this example we used a 30 amp 110V breaker.
